Please plan on a minimum of an hour a day just going through the web boards. If you should miss a day, please increase the amount of time to 2.5 hours.

Make use of the entire range of LEEP technology. Chalkboards, webboards, slides, email, snail mail, the telephone. All of it. And don't forget the the Text Chat is available 24/7 every day of the year. you don't have to be in class to have a meeting.

Inevitably, you will sometime feel like you are missing the point. Guess what? There is a session toward the end of the semester that deals with the fact that the instructor's "point" is often not the same as the learner's "point". You will get to the point where you realize that no one can point you to the point. Maybe that's the point.

Don't let your confusion blind you to how much you are learning.

Forget all you know.
Learning is ubiquitous;
Time, space, matter not.

Subject: Comments about the Course

Chip is a unique instructor who does a nice job of balancing an instructional paradigm of being a "sage on the stage" and a "guide on the side" in his teaching. With his wealth of information, he is naturally a sage when needed, but really tries to allow you to take accountability for your own learning. I appreciated being able to work on a project that was meaningful to my scholarship while making connections to new ideas in using technology in educational situations. The course has helped me expand my perspective and improve my understanding of the potential and current impact of learning technologies.
