THE FIRST PHOTOGRAPH

(1827)
The first photographic picture was produced in 1827 by a French man named Nicephore Niepce. He created the first photograph by using chemicals on a metal plate, placed inside of a camera obscura (created in the 16th century). The picture came out very obscure and it wasnât until 1837 when a man named Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre discovered a chemical process which would permanently fix the image. This process was called Daguerreotype.
