The client's graphical user interface will support other languages. Setting up the client involves:

• Download the Language Patch

• Remove the contents of the <Habanero installation directory>/ncsa/env/rsc directory

• Uncompress and extract the tar file in the Habanero directroy

• Add the following properties to your /habanero.rsc/user.props file

     default.lang.language
     default.lang.country
  

• Select a valid ISO Language Code. These codes are the lower-case two-letter codes as defined by ISO-639. The codes are available from:       http://www.ics.uci.edu/pub/ietf/http/related/iso639.txt
  For Example:

     default.lang.language=en
  

  Some common codes include:       
           ar Arabic   de German   en English
           es Spanish  fr French   zh Chinese 
  

• Select a valid ISO Country Code. These codes are the upper-case two-letter codes as defined by ISO-3166. The codes are available from:       http://www.chemie.fu-berlin.de/diverse/doc/ISO_3166.html
  For Example:

     default.lang.country=US
  

• Copy the strings.properties file in the <Habanero installation directory>/ncsa/env/rsc/ directory to a new file name which uses the language code. For example:

      strings.properties -> strings_ar.properties

      strings.properties -> strings_es.properties

      strings.properties -> strings_de.properties

      strings.properties -> strings_fr.properties

      strings.properties -> strings_zh.properties

• Translate the english version of the messages to your native language.

• Please send a copy of the translated file to me so I can include it on this page for others to use.
