There are three ways to open the record window during a session: select Record from the Meeting menu, press and hold CTRL + R on the keyboard, or click the
button. Recording is performed at the local or client side
The recorded data, or replay data, is written locally to any directory where you have write permission. The location of this directory is defined by the dir.record parameter in the user properties file, (user.props). Each user has a copy of the user.props file in their Habanero resource directory (habanero.rsc).
NOTE: The Windows installation program defines this directory as the capture directory in the directory where Habanero is installed. Unix and Mac users need to define this manually as part of the installation process.To ensure all participants are aware that the session being recorded, the

image will appear in the lower left corner of each application window that is being recorded.
Start Recording
Start recording data by opening the record window during a session. It appears with a default path and directory name.

If this information is acceptable press OK to begin recording the session data into the defined directory. If you want to change the path or name of the directory simply select the area with your mouse and type in the desired path or directory name.
NOTE: Each recording must be written into a different directory to prevent existing data from being overwritten.
Stop Recording
Stop recording data by opening the record window or by leaving the session. If you opened the record window, click the STOP button to end the recording.

At anytime during a session you can take a snapshot of the meeting and save it as a session definition or session template. The template that is created is a snapshot of the current session and will include: the participant list, the active tools, the agenda information and any security options. To save the current session as a template, select this menu item or press CTRL + S on the keyboard or click the
button. This action will open the session definition window with a suggested template name. You can accept the name or edit it by clicking in field typing the desired name in the field. Click the Save button and Habanero will create a new session template.
