The data maintained in the habanero.rsc directory is located by default on the local system but it can be made available remotely from a URL. Notification

The notification preferences define how your Habanero client will notify other users upon creating a session. It also defines how you would like your Habanero environment to react when it asked to join a collaborative session. The available options are:

Outgoing Invitation

Notify via Habanero Client (synchronous)
The session notifies all of the participants directly through each of their Habanero clients. A person running a Habanero client who receives this message is prompted to join the session or is automatically joined depending on their "Incoming Invitation" setting.

Notify via Email (asynchronous)
The Habanero client sends email to each person defined in a session. This email message contains information about the session contents and where the session is hosted.

Notify via Email if Habanero client doesn't respond
When inviting other users to a session, the inviting client first tries to contact each of the participant's clients. If a participant's client is not active then the inviting Habanero client will send an email invitation to the intended user.

Both (notify via Habanero client and Email)
When selected, Habanero sends both an invitation through the client and by email.

Incoming Invitation

Join Automatically
If the Habanero client is running locally, then the it will automatically join a session when it receives an invitation.

If the Habanero client is running, it will prompt you with a window defining the session. From this window you have the option to join or decline the invitation.
